God Wants to Mend You and Put You Back Together This Summer-Renewing Your Spirit

Good morning friends. While in prayer and reflection this morning I sensed this summer to be a time where God desires to heal his people from the inside out. God is most definitely doing some new things in the earth and in his people but it will require us allowing him to show us some things. As humans we all go through times of pain and suffering where we end up very fragmented on the inside. And because we are not disembodied people that fragmentation affects all of who we are, soul and body. This means there are times where God has to put us back together following such difficulties.

God desires to renew our spirit man.

“A person’s spirit sustains him through sickness – but who can bear a crushed spirit? Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭14‬ ‭NET‬‬

For years I would hear my Mom speak about how leaky we are as disciples of Jesus and how we need our spirit man renewed constantly. Years later I so understand what she meant.

We need to recognize such times so we can not only ask God for the help and wisdom we need to recover but also for the momentum to advance once healed. God always desires for us to go from glory to glory, strength to strength, faith to faith.

God gives us people in this life to help us in many ways. But then there are times when we need the spirit of God to do something new in us. Something empowering that only he can do. God is the resurrected God. He is not dead, and he is the only one who can bring us back to life, in a mysterious way that only he can do

I see God doing a mending in his people right now and through the summer months. He want to strengthen us and heal us from the inside out. This will require intentionality on our parts as he reveals these things to us.

I'll be doing a one night teaching on this soon, probably on a Friday night and I encourage you to attend if you are dealing with any type of fragmentation. Be it depression, anxiety or any other type of traumas of the past. God wants to heal you this year so you can go forth in a new way this fall.
